Key Insights
- SpaceX shares have posted gains over the past four consecutive weeks.
- The net worth of Elon Musk keeps climbing and could potentially exceed $1 trillion.
- A variety of tailwinds are positioned to support the company’s enterprise.
Trading around $151-$152 on Sept. 18, SPCX headed toward a fourth straight weekly advance as market participants concentrated on the upcoming Starship test and the expanding AI compute operations. Although the equity has rebounded roughly 45% from its August low near $104.83, it continues to trade significantly below the post-IPO peak of $225.64 achieved after the company debuted on Nasdaq in June.
This upward momentum is significant because SpaceX is actively expanding three capital-intensive divisions concurrently: its launch operations, Starlink, and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The enterprise is preparing for Starship Flight 14 on Sept. 28, while newly secured compute partnerships are contributing billions in contracted sales. Furthermore, analysts anticipate that company turnover will climb from approximately $44.8 billion in 2026 to more than $108 billion in the following year.
SpaceX Stock is Rising as Tailwinds Rise
SPCX shares have performed strongly recently, and this upward trend could persist on the strength of ongoing business tailwinds. To begin with, the organization schedules the Starship Flight 14 test for September 28.
This upcoming flight represents the initial attempt to propel Starship into Earth orbit, facilitating the deployment of Starlink V3 satellites. These specific satellites will feature significant enhancements in capacity, power generation, and data density. Significantly, Starship is expected to serve as the transport mechanism for placing AI servers into space down the line.
In addition, the equity is climbing as the artificial intelligence data center division maintains strong operational performance. A new customer was recently secured who will contribute $1 billion monthly beginning in December of this year. This undisclosed entity joins other prominent clients such as Anthropic and Google, which currently contribute $1.25 billion and $950 million per month, respectively.
Revenue Growth to Supercharge
The artificial intelligence sector underpins analysts’ optimistic outlooks regarding top-line expansion. Morgan Stanley, which acted as an IPO participant, projects that the firm will produce over $3.4 trillion in revenue by 2033. Meanwhile, Elon Musk has set his own turnover projection at more than $3.5 trillion.
Such projections appear feasible when evaluating near-term forecasts. Following annual turnover of $18 billion achieved last year, analysts project sales to surge to $44.82 billion throughout the current year. The most bullish forecasters anticipate this figure reaching $51.2 billion, with the potential to surpass that threshold.
Following a projected intake exceeding $44 billion this year, experts expect this metric to scale past $108 billion next year. The most optimistic observers forecast next year’s revenue touching $151 billion, figures that would position the enterprise among the fastest-expanding corporations globally.
Concurrently, this financial expansion will supply the necessary funds to support heavy capital expenditure. The organization allocated over $18.3 billion toward capital expenditures during the previous quarter and intends to disburse billions additional throughout the year.
This sustained top-line growth accounts for the strong bullish sentiment among analysts. Moffett Nathanson analyst Julie Zhu elevated her price target from $131 to $142, while William Blair reaffirmed an outperform recommendation. In addition, Morgan Stanley, Bernstein, Oppenheimer, and Pivotal Research maintained their favorable stances.
SPCX Stock Price Technical Analysis
The four-hour chart highlights the solid performance of SpaceX shares over recent weeks, tracking a recovery from an August low of $104.60 up to the current $154 mark.
The equity has developed an ascending triangle chart formation, defined by an upward-sloping trendline and a horizontal resistance line. Historically, this technical formation signals the potential for further appreciation over time.
Furthermore, the stock has sustained its position above the 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA). Consequently, the shares are positioned to push higher as buyers set their sights on the $200 psychological milestone, a move that would also enhance Elon Musk’s personal wealth. Conversely, a drop underneath the vital $140 support threshold would negate the positive technical outlook.
