- Staking inflows have also continued rising.
The price of Solana climbed back into an upward trend today, touching a peak of $122 alongside a broader crypto market recovery. SOL has now surged 103% above its lowest point from earlier in the year. This recovery could extend further as the token prints a bullish flag pattern while ETF and staking inflows pick up pace.
Solana Price is Rising as ETF and Staking Inflows Jump
The SOL token has more than doubled over the last several months amid sustained accumulation by investors. According to data gathered by SoSoValue, spot SOL ETF inflows exceeded $271 million during September.
September marked the third straight month of positive inflows and represented the strongest performance since last November, when products brought in $419 million. Altogether, these funds have attracted over $478 million over the past three months.
Since gaining approval, the funds have accumulated more than $1.61 billion in inflows and currently manage over $1.9 billion in assets. Major providers offering Solana ETFs include Bitwise, Fidelity, Grayscale, and Morgan Stanley.
This pattern indicates expanding demand for Solana, traditionally viewed as a strong bullish indicator within fundamental analysis.
Solana’s Staking Inflows are Rising
Growing staking participation serves as another indicator of heightened demand for Solana. Figures from StakingRewards demonstrate that the volume of staked Solana has climbed significantly, pushing the staking ratio close to 70%.
The market capitalization of staked assets has expanded to $53 billion, representing 441 million tokens. Investors continue directing capital toward Solana owing to its prominent market share within the layer-1 sector and its superior staking ratio relative to competing tokens, boasting a 5% staking rate compared to Ethereum’s 2.6%.
Concurrently, interest in Solana within the derivatives sector grew throughout the week. CoinGlass data indicates that open interest climbed past $2.7 billion this week, marking its highest point since January 19 of this year. Rising open interest points toward increasing trader participation and upward momentum.
Solana’s Key Fundamentals Are Improving
Fundamental indicators for Solana continue to strengthen as well. In a Thursday announcement, Fiserv revealed that its digital asset platform is now active with leading financial institutions in North Dakota. The initial live application involves Roughrider Coin, a dollar-backed stablecoin for North Dakota developed on the Solana network.
Additionally, Solana maintains its position as the leading blockchain measured by decentralized exchange (DEX) volume. Statistics indicate that total DEX volume surpassed $77 billion over the trailing 30 days, outpacing Robinhood Chain at $55 billion and Ethereum at $43 billion.
Solana’s stablecoin market capitalization has similarly trended upward, currently exceeding $16 billion, with USDC commanding the largest share of the market.
Solana Price Prediction: Technical Analysis
The daily chart illustrates that the SOL token has maintained an upward trajectory over the past few months, advancing from a June low of $60 to $121 today.
A closer examination reveals that the asset has developed a bullish flag pattern, defined by a vertical surge followed by a downward-sloping or horizontal channel. The coin has now broken out above the upper boundary of this flag structure.
Furthermore, the asset recently completed a golden cross pattern, characterized by the 50-day moving average rising above the 200-day moving average. This technical formation typically precedes extended upward price action.
The Average Directional Index (ADX) has also ticked upward to 44. Consequently, the token is positioned for potential further gains as buyers eye the critical resistance barrier at $150, which marked its high point from January of this year.
