Key Insights:
- XRP price has recovered more than 50% in a month from its 2026 lows of $1.
- A breakout past $1.55 can trigger next upside with potential targets at $3.50, $5 and $10.
- Moscow Exchange launched its XRPUSDF perpetual futures contract tied to the MOEX Ripple Index.
XRP price moved above $1.50 on Sept. 22 as the broader crypto market extended its recovery. CoinGecko showed XRP trading near $1.55, up about 5.1% over 24 hours and 8.5% over seven days. The token has recovered sharply from its 2026 low near $0.99, putting the $1.55-$1.60 region back in focus.
The move also came as veteran trader Peter Brandt published a long-term XRP chart pointing toward an eventual $5.40 level. Separately, Moscow Exchange began trading new perpetual futures tied to its Ripple Index.
XRP Price Chart Points to a Rally to $5.40, Says Peter Brandt
Veteran trader Peter Brandt said his long-term XRP price chart indicates a potential advance to $5.40. Brandt clarified that presenting a chart or making a market call does not constitute a trade.
As seen in the above chart from Peter Brandt, XRP price finds strong resistance at $1.5. This comes after a strong pullback from the euphoric XRP rally to $3.00–$3.50 last year.
This was the same peak that XRP hit during the late 2017 crypto bull run. Since then, the XRP price has corrected by more than 50% and is currently trading at $1.5.
Two months before, the XRP price slipped all the way to $1.0. However, it has recovered 50% since then amid the broader market recovery and is testing a crucial resistance at $1.5 for the first time since August 25.
Roadmap for XRP Price Potential Rally to $10
As said, XRP has been recovering after falling roughly 73% from its July 2025 all-time high of $3.66. The cryptocurrency has since reclaimed its major accumulation structure and is now around 71% above the identified accumulation zone, per analyst Crypto Patel.
As shown in the above figure, $0.80–$1 has been a major accumulation zone and strong support for XRP, with $1.55 as a key higher-time-frame breakout level. Above that, the roadmap identifies $3.50 as the first major expansion target, followed by $5 and a long-term macro target of $10.
A sustained higher-time-frame close above $1.55 could open the path toward $3.50, $5 and eventually $10, according to the analysis. A major pullback toward the accumulation zone could also provide an opportunity, for buying the XRP price dip.
Analyst Javon Marks also cited that XRP is continuing to move higher following a smaller breakout. He believes that it could set the stage for a larger move ahead.
Marks added that the continuation of the XRP rally post the breakout could lead to a measured move for $15 target and above.
XRP Futures Go Live on Moscow Exchange
In another major development, Moscow Exchange (MOEX) has launched its XRPUSDF perpetual futures contract. Thus, the platform expands its cryptocurrency derivatives offering with an instrument tied to the Moscow Exchange Ripple Index (MOEXXRP).
Trading was scheduled to begin on September 22, 2026, alongside four other new crypto index perpetual futures contracts. MOEX data showed the underlying Ripple Index at 1.5148, representing a 1.30% increase.
