- ONDO saw an approximate 25% price increase following the introduction of portfolios utilizing strategies designed by BlackRock.
- The offerings consist of three portfolio models supplied by BlackRock, with Ondo handling implementation and rebalancing.
- With ONDO trading near $0.52, the immediate technical resistance zone is established between $0.52 and $0.524.
Following the debut of Intelligent Portfolios on Sept. 24, the price of ONDO surpassed $0.50. The initial three offerings incorporate investment approaches crafted by BlackRock explicitly for Ondo.
Data from CoinMarketCap positioned ONDO close to $0.519, representing a roughly 25% gain over a 24-hour window, tying the rally to the launch timing.
BlackRock Strategies Move Onchain Through Ondo
Ondo introduced seven Intelligent Portfolios altogether, featuring three centered on strategies that BlackRock formulated for the platform. These assets blend multiple asset classes into a unified tokenized investment vehicle.
Designated as BLKHIon, BLKDIGon, and BLKGRWon, the initial trio of BlackRock-backed portfolios focus on high-income, diversified growth, and high-growth objectives, respectively.
Depending on its specific mandate, each portfolio may comprise a mix of stock, bond, and Bitcoin exchange-traded funds. Ondo subsequently generates a single transferable token that grants exposure to the underlying assets.
Capital is directed into the supporting assets of each strategy when investors buy these tokens, after which programmatic rebalancing adjusts the portfolio weights as necessary.
Access to these products is available to qualified non-U.S. investors via compatible wallets, exchanges, and decentralized finance protocols, utilizing infrastructure on both Ethereum and BNB Chain.
Lisa O’Connor, a BlackRock executive, noted that tokenization opens up fresh avenues to distribute well-established portfolio strategies, allowing diversified allocations to be packaged into a solitary digital investment tool.
While the framework does not confer direct shareholder rights regarding the underlying securities, holders retain the ability to transfer their positions around the clock and potentially utilize them within DeFi ecosystems.
Ondo Crypto Rally Draws Higher Derivatives Positioning
The product unveiling coincided with a sharp surge in Ondo Crypto, pushing ONDO to trade around $0.52 following a robust rebound from September lows near $0.33.
Derivatives metrics demonstrated that traders expanded their bullish exposure during this rebound, with the OI-weighted funding rate staying positive and nearing 0.02%.
A positive funding rate signifies that leveraged long positions compensate short positions inside perpetual futures markets, a behavior suggesting that a greater number of traders are betting on ongoing upward movement.
This dynamic departs from August conditions, when funding dipped into negative territory periodically while ONDO slumped. Since September, pricing and funding metrics have climbed concurrently.
Nonetheless, elevated positive funding also elevates short-term liquidation vulnerabilities if market momentum fades, leaving heavily leveraged long positions susceptible to rapid unwinding during sharper corrections.
Sustaining the $0.45 region preserves the integrity of the recent recovery pattern, whereas sustained trading above $0.50 directs focus toward loftier resistance thresholds.
Ondo Price Tests $0.52 as Momentum Strengthens
Breaking free from its prior consolidation band, the Ondo price drove past the upper Bollinger Band situated near $0.4806, illustrating accelerated momentum in the wake of the September recovery.
The MACD line advanced toward 0.0266, paired with a signal line hovering around 0.0135, while the positive histogram confirms that bullish momentum remains active.
With ONDO currently challenging resistance in the $0.52–$0.524 range, this serves as the primary hurdle for buyers. Securing a daily close above this barrier could clear a path toward $0.54 and $0.56.
Initial support is stationed near $0.48, coinciding with the upper Bollinger Band, followed by the $0.44–$0.46 zone as the subsequent support floor.
A more pronounced retracement might draw attention back to the Bollinger midline near $0.387. At present, ONDO holds above its breakout area as market participants evaluate whether the BlackRock-associated launch can maintain ongoing demand.
