NIGHT Token Climbs 15% Following Hoskinson’s Zcash Remarks

Key Insights:

  • NIGHT jumped roughly 15% within a 24-hour window, pushing its monthly gains past 100%.
  • Renewed market interest was fueled by Charles Hoskinson drawing comparisons between Midnight’s privacy features and Zcash.
  • NIGHT faces resistance between 0.0385 and 0.0400, while technical indicators point to continued robust bullish momentum.

On September 30, the price of NIGHT climbed toward $0.037, driven by a fresh wave of trading volume and heightened focus on Midnight’s privacy framework.

Data from CoinMarketCap indicated that Midnight’s native digital asset rose approximately 13% to 20% over a 24-hour period, depending on the specific intraday snapshot. Over the preceding 30 days, NIGHT had advanced roughly 103%.

This upward momentum followed statements from Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson, who contrasted Midnight’s long-term outlook with that of Zcash.

NIGHT Price Rallies as Hoskinson Compares Midnight With Zcash

The recent price surge came in the wake of remarks by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson regarding Midnight’s standing in the privacy-centric blockchain sector. Hoskinson recently suggested that Midnight has the potential to eventually outgrow Zcash.

According to Hoskinson, Midnight integrates private agents and selective disclosure alongside a suite of privacy mechanisms. These include trusted execution environments, zero-knowledge proofs, and multi-party computation.

He has also noted that Midnight’s capabilities extend beyond basic private asset transactions. While users can conduct private transfers of NIGHT and other tokens, developers are also equipped to deploy confidential smart contracts.

This distinction has emerged as a primary catalyst for the resurgence of market enthusiasm around NIGHT. Whereas Zcash gained prominence largely for privacy-centric transactions, Midnight brings confidentiality features directly into broader blockchain applications.

This renewed focus follows Midnight’s establishment as a key component of the broader Cardano ecosystem.

NIGHT Price Extends September Rally

During Wednesday’s trading session, NIGHT hovered between $0.0366 and $0.0370 following a sharp climb over the prior 24 hours. Backed by active buyers, the token accumulated gains exceeding 100% over the trailing 30 days.

This advance also builds upon a multi-day rally that propelled NIGHT past its previous September trading threshold. The cryptocurrency changed hands near $0.0244 on September 24 before exceeding $0.036 during the current week.

Attention intensified after market commentator David Gokhshtein published a note suggesting NIGHT might mirror the trajectory of Zcash, highlighting Midnight’s integration of privacy within decentralized applications and smart contracts.

Nonetheless, these remarks reflect market sentiment rather than guaranteed future price outcomes. NIGHT’s recent ascent follows multiple consecutive days of gains, which has simultaneously heightened short-term volatility.

Furthermore, as previously covered, Midnight has historically impacted trading metrics across the wider Cardano network.

NIGHT Technical Indicators Show Strong Momentum

On the daily chart, NIGHT has broken out above its former consolidation band of $0.027 to $0.030. The asset also touched an intraday peak near $0.03845 prior to a minor pullback.

The upper Bollinger Band rests near $0.0329, while the 20-day moving average tracks close to $0.0245. Trading above the upper band, NIGHT displays robust momentum alongside elevated volatility.

Additionally, the MACD indicator remains bullish, with the MACD line positioned above the signal line while both values stay in positive territory. The widening green histogram indicates that buying pressure intensified during the latest leg up.

Immediate overhead resistance is situated between $0.0385 and $0.0400, where NIGHT is currently testing a historical supply zone. A decisive break above this barrier would shift focus toward $0.042 and $0.045.

On the downside, support is found near $0.0329 and the recent breakout zone of $0.030 to $0.031. Conversely, should sellers wrest control, a drop below the $0.027–$0.028 range would undermine the existing short-term breakout structure.
