HBAR Surges on Growing Demand for ETF and Futures

Key Insights

  • Hedera’s price climbed toward its January range after roughly doubling from its summer lows.
  • Cumulative inflows into the Canary HBAR ETF approached approximately $112 million amid ongoing September creation activity.
  • Open interest for HBAR futures rose toward $290 million as derivatives market momentum accelerated.

The price of Hedera extended its September upward trend as HBAR neared marks not witnessed since January. Data from CoinMarketCap positioned the token around $0.1175, marking a 24-hour gain of roughly 20% after the most recent push carried it past $0.12.

This upward movement occurred alongside ongoing creations within the Canary HBAR ETF and a dramatic surge in derivatives engagement. Nevertheless, neither the ETF inflows nor the elevated futures open interest guarantees that the rally will persist.

Hedera Price Jumps as HBAR ETF Inflows Rise

The HBAR token has experienced a recovery over recent weeks, tracking the trajectory of Bitcoin alongside other altcoins. Bitcoin climbed from a July trough of $57,800 to a peak of $87,000 this month, while the total valuation of the broader cryptocurrency market expanded past $2.87 trillion.

Hedera’s price advance has run parallel to steady ETF accumulation. The Canary HBAR ETF (HBR) has logged positive monthly inflows consistently since October of last year, taking in upwards of $3.8 million this month following a $2.57 million intake the month prior.

Altogether, the fund has accumulated over $111.6 million in total inflows and currently manages more than $98 million in assets. These figures point to expanding demand for HBAR, presenting a bullish indicator.

A parallel pattern is unfolding across spot markets. Hedera’s spot trading volume skyrocketed by 845% over a 24-hour window to surpass $1.37 billion, signaling that demand continues to climb while the Crypto Fear and Greed Index stays in positive territory.

Demand for HBAR is likewise strengthening in the futures sector. Open interest increased to upwards of $280 million—its highest point since October of the previous year—marking a substantial recovery from its July low of $82 million.

Futures open interest serves as a key metric for tracking active market positions, where higher totals typically indicate growing demand and improved liquidity.

Hedera’s Fundamentals are Improving

HBAR’s upward trajectory is supported by strengthening underlying fundamentals. Among these developments is the inclusion of several Hedera governance council participants—such as IBM and ServiceNow—within Nvidia’s Open Agent Safety Platform.

Hedera has also advanced its footprint in the artificial intelligence sector. Recently, the network rolled out a platform designed to deliver independent transaction ordering and timestamps, establishing tamper-proof commitments while keeping sensitive data shielded onchain.

Additional metrics highlight network growth for Hedera. Total value locked (TVL) on the platform climbed to $47.2 million, reaching its highest point since June of this year and recovering significantly from an August low of $15 million, which highlights expanding user demand.

Even so, the network continues to confront notable hurdles, particularly within the stablecoin ecosystem. Figures show that stablecoin market capitalization on Hedera has contracted to $27 million, down from an all-time peak exceeding $210 million.

HBAR Price Prediction: Technical Analysis

The daily price chart indicates that the HBAR token has staged a multi-week rebound. After bottoming between $0.064 during July and August—where a double-bottom structure formed—the asset has consistently printed higher highs and higher lows as buyers stepped in on pullbacks.

The cryptocurrency has successfully broken above the critical $0.1095 resistance threshold, which marked its high point on May 30th.

Furthermore, the token remains positioned above the Supertrend indicator alongside the 100-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA). The Average Directional Index (ADX) has also advanced to 48, indicating persistent strength in the current uptrend.

Consequently, the prevailing outlook for HBAR points toward a bullish continuation, with the next price target set at the $0.1500 psychological barrier. Conversely, a retreat below the $0.10 psychological marker would invalidate this optimistic projection.
